Message material to squeeze out into the intake passage and break off and potentially seize a turbo. (This presumes the silicone gasket material is applied too thick).

Ben, clearly this is a cost reduction effort as the original design was pretty expensive. I'm assuming the gaskets were in a Nissan box (as opposed to Bubba-Gumps gasket company). Without taking a closer inspection, from what I can see in the picture it's designed to perform the same function. You'll be fine.

But if you are ultra-OCD-anal-paranoid...contact COZ and see if he has the older style lower plenum gaskets. If not, maybe Bernie can get them for you.
